Facts about Tobacco

Tobacco can be consumed, used as an organic pesticide and, in the form of nicotine tartrate, used in some medicines.

It is of course most commonly used as a recreational drug and, The usage of tobacco is an activity that is practiced by some 1.1 billion people, about 1/3 of the adult population of the world.

Tobacco had already long been used in the Americas when European settlers arrived and introduced the practice to Europe, Where it quickly became popular.

Tobacco can be smoked, chewed, snuffed and so on. it is known to shorten one's life with 10 years and, is the cause of some 40 percent of all hospital illnesses.

The active substance, Nicotine, is extremely addictive, but strangely Bhutan is the only country in the world where tobacco sales are illegal.

Facts about Amphetamines

Amphetamines, known as greenies among baseball players.

Amphetamine derivatives such as Adderall, are a class of potent drugs that act by increasing levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, inducing euphoria.
It is used to treat symptoms of ADHD. It is also used to treat symptoms of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the daytime drowsiness symptoms of narcolepsy, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).

Tolerance is developed rapidly in amphetamine abuse; therefore, periods of extended use require increasing amounts of the drug in order to achieve the same effect.

Side-effects include: dizziness, twitching, insomnia, numbness, anorexia, hyperactivity, dilated pupils, blood shot eyes, flushing, restlessness, dry mouth, , headaches, repetitive and obsessive behaviors and, paranoia.
with chronic and/or high doses it can cause: amphetamine-psychosis, seizure, stroke, coma, heart attack and death.

Withdrawal symptoms of amphetamine primarily consist of mental fatigue, mental depression and an increased appetite, anxiety, agitation, excessive sleep, vivid or lucid dreams, deep REM sleep and suicidal ideation. . Symptoms may last for days with occasional use and weeks or months with chronic use, with severity dependent on the length of time and the amount of amphetamine used.
